Relist

Relist is a refresh tool with teeth. It posts a brand-new copy of a stale listing, then deletes the original. The photos are saved again with small changes (and, if you like, the title, description and price) so the copy goes up as a new listing rather than a duplicate of the old one.

The result: your item gets a fresh listed date and goes back out to buyers as new stock, instead of sinking further down as old stock.

Relist works on Depop and Vinted; eBay support is coming. To put an ended eBay listing back on sale, select it in My Listings, click Edit and pick Relist in its status.

When to use it

  • A listing has been live for weeks with no traction.
  • A refresh hasn’t moved it.
  • You want to change the price at the same time as reposting.

The new copy is a separate listing with its own link, so likes and views on the old one don’t carry over. If you just want to nudge a Depop listing up without recreating it, use the Refresh tab instead.

How it works

For each listing you relist, SaleLinx:

  1. Reads the listing live from Depop or Vinted (title, description, price, category, size, brand, condition, shipping and photos) and keeps a backup copy in your browser.
  2. Downloads each photo, applies the photo changes, and uploads the new versions one at a time.
  3. Posts the new listing with the title, description and price changes you chose, or saves it as a draft if you asked for that.
  4. If the listing is saved to the cloud, moves its cloud copy (and any link to its match on the other marketplace) over to the new listing.
  5. Deletes the original.

Posting comes first and deleting second. If the new listing can’t be created, the original is left alone and nothing is lost. If the new listing goes up but the original can’t be deleted, you’ll have both live, so check your shop and delete the old one by hand.

Running a relist

Open the Relist tab. It shows your live Depop and Vinted listings in one list, oldest first, with how long each has been listed.

  1. Narrow the list if you need to: All, Depop or Vinted, the search box, and the age filter (Any age, older than, newer than, or between two ages, in hours, days or weeks).
  2. Tick the listings you want to relist. The box at the left of the search row ticks everything on the current page.
  3. Click Relist. The Relist Confirmation window opens.
  4. Check the photo, title, description and price options (below), and whether to save as a draft.
  5. Click Confirm Relist.

A progress bar shows how far the run has got, and the listings being relisted are greyed out until they’re done. Click Stop to end the run early.

The list is read live from both marketplaces, so it only shows listings that are on your shop right now. The reload button next to the search box fetches it again.

You can also start a relist from the Dead Stock tab. It opens the same confirmation window.

Cloud items and sold items

Show cloud items swaps the list for listings you saved to the cloud that are no longer live on the marketplace (In cloud (not live)). That view is for reference only; you can’t relist from it.

Sold items aren’t in the Relist tab. If you saved a sold item to the cloud, relist it from My Listings instead: select it and use Relist in the selection toolbar. See Bulk editor.

Photo Modifications

On by default, and recommended. Each photo is turned, scaled and brightened (or darkened) by a small random amount, up to the limits you set:

  • Rotation - up to ±2° by default (you can set up to 10°).
  • Scale - up to ±2% by default (up to 15%).
  • Brightness - up to ±1.8% by default (up to 25%).

Every photo also gets a very slight colour shift and is saved again as a new JPEG file. A tiny zoom covers the corners a rotation would expose, so a sliver around the edges is trimmed. Photo order, and which photo leads, stay as they were. The Before and After preview shows a sample of the effect on your first photo; Refresh preview draws another random example.

Turning Photo Modifications off removes the rotation, scale and brightness changes. Each photo still gets the slight colour shift, the tiny zoom and a fresh save, so the new files are never exact copies of the originals.

Title and Description Modifications

Both on by default. Each one swaps the case of the first letter of one random word (for example, vintage becomes Vintage), so the text isn’t identical to the original. The window shows an example.

Depop has no separate title field. On Depop, Title Modifications changes the first line of the description and Description Modifications changes the rest.

Price Modifications

Off by default. Turn it on to change prices as you relist. Apply to all sets one change for every selected listing:

  • No bulk change
  • Reduce by % or Increase by %
  • Reduce by fixed or Increase by fixed (an amount in your shop currency)

Below that, each selected listing has its own price box showing its new price. Pick the bulk change first, then type over any listing you want to price by hand; choosing a different bulk change afterwards overwrites the boxes. Depop doesn’t accept prices under 1.00, so a change that lands lower is raised to 1.00 on Depop.

Save as draft

Save as draft instead of publishing (you publish it yourself later) creates the new copy as a draft on Depop or Vinted instead of a live listing. The original is still deleted, so the item is off sale until you publish the draft.

Sale discounts on Depop

If a Depop listing is on sale (the grid shows its original price struck through), SaleLinx re-applies the same discount percentage to the new listing once it’s posted. The discount is worked out from the new listing’s price, including any price change you made. It isn’t re-applied when:

  • you save as a draft (set the discount again after you publish), or
  • the discounted price would fall below 1.00.

If re-applying the discount fails, the relist still goes through and the new listing stays at full price.

Pacing

Relist settings, the section at the top of the Relist tab, holds Seconds between listings: how long SaleLinx waits after each listing, on average. The default is 10 seconds and the minimum is 5. The first few listings and the later ones in a long run get a little extra, and long runs take the odd longer break (the job queue shows On break), so a big run can sit idle for several minutes partway through. That’s expected.

Each relist also takes a while on its own, longer for listings with lots of photos, because the photos upload one at a time with short pauses. You can close the panel while it runs, but keep a tab open on each marketplace you’re relisting on. Other SaleLinx jobs wait in the queue until the run finishes.

Presets

The preset picker at the top of Relist settings saves the relist settings as a named set: the seconds between listings, plus every option in the Relist Confirmation window (photo, title and description changes, the price change, and save as draft). Picking a preset fills in all of them at once. Two are built in:

  • Default - 10 seconds between listings; photo modifications on, at ±2° rotation, ±2% scale and ±1.8% brightness; title and description changes on; price change off; save as draft off.
  • Careful - 20 seconds between listings, and every relist lands as a draft. Slower, and nothing goes live until you publish it (the originals are still deleted).

Change any setting by hand and the picker marks the current values as unsaved; from there you can save them as a preset of your own. Saving under the name of one of your existing presets asks before overwriting it, and the built-in names can’t be reused. Your own presets can be deleted after a confirmation; the built-ins can’t.

Your saved presets are stored with your SaleLinx account, so they survive a reinstall and follow you to another computer. See Account and subscription for how syncing, sign-out and per-device selection work.

Plan and allowance

Relist is on every plan, including the 14-day free trial. There’s no tab-level lock. What varies by plan is your monthly relist allowance; higher plans raise it. See pricing for current numbers.

  • Each relist that goes through counts once, on either marketplace. Relists that fail don’t count.
  • The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
  • If you select more listings than you have left, the run is cut to what’s left and the panel tells you.
  • The Membership card in the Settings tab shows what you have left. See Settings.

If you only need a lighter visibility bump (no delete and repost), the Refresh tab is the lower-touch alternative on Depop.

Next steps

  • Refresh - the lighter-touch alternative.
  • Bulk editor - relist sold items you saved to the cloud, and other actions on selected listings.
  • Dead Stock - find which listings are candidates for relisting.
  • Restocker - repost items you have more of when one sells.
