Settings

Settings is pinned to the bottom of the panel’s sidebar, below Support and Refer & Earn, so you can always reach it. It holds your SaleLinx account, the Depop, Vinted and eBay accounts you’ve linked, your plan and how much of it you’ve used, which marketplaces you sell on, and a couple of display options.

A few quick controls (language, theme, Pop out) live in the panel header instead. They’re covered at the end of this page.

SaleLinx account

The first section, SaleLinx account, shows the email you’re signed in with and two buttons:

  • Manage account on salelinx.com opens your account page on the website, where you change your password or email and manage billing.
  • Log Out signs you out of the extension after a confirmation.

Logging out also cancels everything in the queue and clears its history, and removes the listings and saved presets SaleLinx kept in this browser, so the next person to sign in here can’t see them. Your presets and cloud backups stay with your account and come back when you sign in again.

Marketplace accounts

Marketplace accounts has a row each for Depop, Vinted and eBay. The Depop and Vinted rows show the linked shop’s @username and a status:

  • Connected - the shop is linked, or you’re signed in there.
  • Disconnected or Session expired - SaleLinx can’t see you signed in there. An Open Depop (or Open Vinted) button appears next to the status; sign in on the site that opens and the row recovers.

If you’re signed in but haven’t linked the shop yet, the row reads Not linked and offers to link it.

The eBay row works differently (see The eBay row below). Rows for marketplaces you’ve switched off (see Marketplaces below) are hidden.

Note

In version 1.1.11 and earlier, this section and the one above it are headed Accounts and Account.

Linking an account

Linking tells SaleLinx which shop belongs to your SaleLinx account. To link one:

  1. Sign in on depop.com or vinted.com in a normal tab.
  2. Open the SaleLinx panel on that site and go to Settings.
  3. Under the marketplace’s row you’ll see “Link @yourname (Depop) to your cloud?”. Click Link.

Not now hides the prompt for now.

You can only link Depop or Vinted from a page on that marketplace. From a Depop tab, the Vinted row asks you to open Vinted and log in there, and the other way round. The full first-time walkthrough is in Connect your first marketplace.

If linking fails, the row says why. The common reasons:

  • No login found. Sign in on the marketplace and try again.
  • The shop is already linked to a different SaleLinx account. Sign in to that SaleLinx account, unlink it there, then come back.
  • The shop has already used a free trial on another SaleLinx account. Start a paid plan to link it here.

Signed in as someone else

If the marketplace tab is signed in to a different shop from the one you linked, a banner at the top of Settings says so. That marketplace’s features stay unavailable until you switch accounts on the marketplace, or unlink and link the shop you’re now using.

Unlinking

Click Unlink on the row and confirm. Unlinking removes that marketplace’s listings from SaleLinx in this browser. Nothing changes on the marketplace itself.

If you have listings from that shop saved in your cloud backup, the confirmation offers a choice:

  • Unlink, keep cloud backup - unlink, but leave the backups in your account, ready if you link again.
  • Unlink and delete backup - unlink and also delete that shop’s cloud backups, photos included.

The eBay row

eBay has no browser session for SaleLinx to check, so its row shows your eBay username with Linked, or a Link button. Linking opens a small window where you sign in on eBay’s own page, and works from any page the panel is open on. See Connect your first marketplace.

Once eBay is linked, the row also has:

  • Seller type - Private or Business. SaleLinx reads it from eBay; pick the other one if it’s wrong. It decides what the eBay listing editor in My Listings offers: business sellers can set an auto-accept price for offers, and private sellers on eBay UK see what the buyer will pay with eBay’s Buyer Protection fee.
  • Postage - the postage, returns and item postcode SaleLinx adds to every listing it crosslists to eBay. The row shows what’s saved, From your eBay business policies, or Asked for on your first crosslist. Edit opens the form. What you save is stored with your SaleLinx account.

Account info

Account info shows your User ID with a Copy button, in case support asks for it.

Membership

The Membership card shows:

  • Your plan: Free trial, Starter, Pro or Business.
  • Its status: Trial, Active, Past due or Canceled.
  • A date: when the trial ends, when the plan renews, or, if you’ve cancelled, when it ends.
  • Manage, which opens your account page on salelinx.com to change plan, update your card or cancel.

While you’re on the free trial, a countdown in the panel header also shows how long is left. Click it to open the pricing page.

Usage meters

Under the plan, one row for each allowance on your plan shows how much you’ve used, your limit and how many are left:

  • Crosslists this month
  • Relists this month
  • Refreshes today
  • Follows today
  • Unfollows today
  • Cloud storage (on plans that include cloud backups)

A row reads Unlimited when your plan has no cap on it. The bar changes colour as you get close to the limit.

The “today” allowances reset at midnight UTC. In the UK that’s midnight in winter and 1am during British Summer Time. The “this month” allowances reset on the first of each calendar month (UTC), not on your billing date.

When you run out, SaleLinx shows an upgrade prompt, and tasks already waiting in the queue are put on hold until the allowance resets. The limits for each plan are on the pricing page. Billing, upgrades and cancelling are covered in Account and subscription.

Marketplaces

Marketplaces sets where you sell: “Choose where you sell. We hide everything for the marketplaces you skip.” There is one button for each of Depop, Vinted and eBay, showing its logo (hover over one to see its name). Click a button to switch that marketplace on or off, then click Apply. Any mix works, as long as at least one stays on.

Turning a marketplace off:

  • Hides its tabs, filters and account row. Refresh and Shop Designer are Depop-only tabs, and Auto-Offers is Vinted-only.
  • Stops its background work, and switches off its schedules: Auto-refresh when Depop is off, and automatic offer accepting for that marketplace.
  • Can leave Crosslist and Linking in the sidebar, but locked. Crosslist needs two marketplaces (any two of the three), and Linking needs Depop and Vinted. Each explains why and offers a Change marketplaces button that brings you back here.

With only eBay switched on, the sidebar shows My Listings, Crosslist (locked until you switch on a second marketplace), Settings, Support and Refer & Earn, with a Coming soon list of the Depop and Vinted features that don’t work with eBay yet.

Your choice is saved to your SaleLinx account. SaleLinx asks the same question (“Where do you sell?”) the first time you sign in. If you chose your marketplaces before SaleLinx supported eBay, eBay starts switched off, and a one-time pop-up says eBay is here. Its Go to Settings button opens this tab.

If you open the panel on a Depop or Vinted page you’ve turned off, a banner offers Turn on Depop (or Turn on Vinted) and Dismiss.

Display

  • Page animations switches the moving scenes at the top of each tab on or off. Turn them off if the panel feels slow. This setting is saved in this browser only.
  • Panel shortcut shows the keyboard shortcut that opens and closes the panel (Alt+S unless you’ve changed it, or Not set). Chrome controls extension shortcuts, so Change opens Chrome’s shortcuts page, where you can pick a different key. The shortcut only works on a Depop or Vinted tab.

Controls in the panel header

These sit in the top-right corner of the panel on every tab:

  • Language (the flag): the panel is available in English, French, Spanish and German. You can also switch language from the menu that appears when you hover over the SaleLinx launcher while the panel is closed.
  • Tutorial mode (the “i” icon): hides or shows the info cards at the top of each tab. Turning it back on also brings back any cards you closed one by one.
  • Theme (moon or sun): switches between light and dark. Light is the default.
  • Log out: the same as Log Out in Settings.
  • Pop out: shrinks the panel into a window you can drag by its header and resize from any edge or corner, so the page underneath stays usable. Click Fill screen to go back to full size. SaleLinx remembers which you used last, and the window’s size and position.
  • Close (×): closes the panel. Anything in the queue keeps running.

The other bottom tabs

  • Refer & Earn gives you a link to share. Your friend gets a discount, and you earn free time on your plan when they subscribe.
  • Support is where you report a bug or send feedback to the SaleLinx team.
