Account and subscription

Your SaleLinx login covers both the website and the extension. The same account signs you in to billing on salelinx.com and to the panel inside Chrome, though you sign in to each one separately.

You can sign in two ways: Continue with Google, or an email and password. Google is the quicker route and leaves you with no separate SaleLinx password to remember. If you signed up with Google and later want a password too, you can add one from your account page (see Account security below).

Using more than one computer

You can stay signed in on several computers, but only one of them can use SaleLinx at a time. If your account is already in use somewhere else, the panel shows In use on another device. Click Use here instead to carry on from this computer. The other computer is then signed out of SaleLinx.

Where to find it

  • Website: your account page is at salelinx.com/account. The Account & billing link in the window that opens from the SaleLinx toolbar icon takes you there too.
  • Extension: the Membership card in the panel’s Settings tab shows your plan, and its Manage button opens your account page. See Settings for the rest of that tab.

Plans at a glance

Plans differ in which features they unlock and how much you can do each day or month. The current pricing and what each plan includes lives on the pricing page. The extension reads its limits from the same place, so what you see there is what you get.

Seeing what you have used

The Membership card in the panel’s Settings tab shows your plan, its status, and the date it renews (or the date your trial or plan ends). Below that is a row for every allowance on your plan, such as Crosslists this month (crosslists to and from eBay count too) or Refreshes today. Each row has a bar showing how much you have used and how much is left, so you can tell at a glance whether you are about to run out. Plans that include cloud storage get a Cloud storage row too.

Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC, and monthly ones on the 1st of each month (UTC).

Free 14-day trial

New accounts can start a 14-day free trial. It has the same features as Starter, with lower allowances. Start it with Start free trial on the panel’s Welcome to SaleLinx screen or on the pricing page.

A card is required to start the trial, but nothing is charged during it. When the 14 days are up, the trial converts to a paid Starter subscription automatically unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any time before then with Manage subscription on your account page, and you will not be charged.

There is one trial per person. If your SaleLinx account has had a plan before, or a Depop, Vinted or eBay account you have linked has already used a trial, the pricing page skips the trial and you subscribe at the normal price. There is no permanent free plan: to use SaleLinx after the trial you need an active Starter, Pro or Business subscription.

Subscribing

  1. Open the pricing page. The Upgrade and Go to Pricing buttons in the panel take you there too.
  2. Click Subscribe on the plan you want. If you aren’t signed in on the website, it asks you to sign in first.
  3. Stripe Checkout opens. Complete payment.

Your plan is active as soon as the payment goes through. You don’t need to reinstall or sign in again: the panel picks up the new plan within a few minutes, the next time you load a Depop, Vinted or eBay page. If the panel is showing Welcome to SaleLinx or Your plan has ended, click the refresh link under the main button to check straight away.

Upgrading during your trial

During the trial, the buttons on the pricing page start your paid plan instead of opening Checkout. Starter’s button reads Start Starter now; Pro and Business still read Subscribe. Your account page also has a Start Starter now button.

Nothing happens until you confirm. A box explains that this ends your free trial, charges your card now and every month until you cancel, and that the new plan’s limits apply straight away. The button to go ahead shows the amount you will be charged. If your card is declined, your plan stays as it was and you can update your card and try again.

Changing plans

Once you are on a paid plan, plan changes happen in Stripe’s billing portal. Click Manage subscription on your account page and choose the new plan there. Clicking Subscribe on the pricing page takes you to the same place.

Managing billing

Click Manage subscription on your account page to open Stripe’s billing portal. From there you can:

  • Change your plan.
  • Update your payment method.
  • Download invoices.
  • Cancel.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current period. Until then, the panel works normally on your current plan, and your account page shows the date it is scheduled to end. You can resume any time before that date through Manage subscription.

When a plan ends, the panel shows Your plan has ended with a See plans button. Your listings, settings and cloud data stay in your account, ready for when you subscribe again.

What if a payment fails?

If a payment fails, your account page shows Payment failed and the panel’s Membership card shows Past due. To fix it, click Manage subscription and update your card.

  • If you have paid for SaleLinx before, you keep full access for 7 days while you sort it out. If the payment still hasn’t gone through after 7 days, the panel locks until it does.
  • If the first charge after your free trial fails, there is no grace period. The panel locks straight away until a payment goes through.

Account security

The Security card on your account page handles your password and email address. Both changes are confirmed by a link we email to you.

  • Password: click Send reset link and follow the link to set a new password. If you signed up with Google, your account has no password yet. Click Send set-password link to add one, so you can also sign in with your email and password.
  • Email: click Change email, enter the new address and click Send confirmation. The change finishes when you click the link in the email.

The Email preferences card lets you turn tips and occasional offers on or off. Account emails, such as receipts, password resets and replies to your support tickets, are always sent.

Deleting your account

At the bottom of your account page, click Delete account. Enter your password (accounts that use Google sign-in skip this step) and click Send confirmation email. Nothing is deleted until you open the link in that email, within 60 minutes, and click Permanently delete my account.

Deleting removes your listings, images, linked marketplace accounts, usage history and support tickets. Any active subscription is canceled immediately, with no refund for time left in the billing period. This cannot be undone.

Settings presets follow your account

Several tabs in the panel let you save their settings as named presets: Grow, Refresh, Relist and the Auto-Accept Offers controls in Offers. Each ships with two built-in presets, Default and Careful, and the ones you save yourself are stored with your SaleLinx account rather than only in the browser. Syncing is part of every plan, including the trial; without an active plan your presets stay on the device you saved them on, and upload the next time a plan is active. While a plan is active:

  • They survive a reinstall and appear on a second computer once you sign in there.
  • If two devices disagree, the most recently changed list wins, separately for each tab.
  • Presets you saved before syncing existed are merged in by name rather than lost.
  • Which preset is selected stays per device. Picking one on your laptop does not change the selection on your desktop.
  • Signing out clears presets from that browser, so the next person to sign in there does not inherit yours. They come back the next time you sign in.

View presets in the My Listings tab (saved filter and sort combinations) are a separate, older feature. They stay on the device and do not sync.
