Installing the SaleLinx extension
SaleLinx is a Chrome extension that works inside your Depop, Vinted and eBay tabs. Install it once, pin it to your toolbar, and sign in with your SaleLinx account.
You’ll need Google Chrome or another Chromium browser (Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc or Opera). Safari and Firefox are not supported.
1. Install from the Chrome Web Store
Add to ChromeOr open the SaleLinx listing in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Chrome will ask you to confirm the permissions the extension needs. Click Add extension to continue.
SaleLinx asks for access to Depop, to the Vinted country sites it supports, and to eBay’s sites. On Depop and Vinted it uses that access to read your own listings, orders and messages, and to list, edit and relist items for you through the same connections the marketplace’s own website uses. On eBay it shows the panel, and your eBay listings are reached through eBay’s official connection, which you approve when you link eBay. It also talks to a few supporting services: the SaleLinx cloud (your account and backups), the marketplaces’ photo servers, and the shipping label provider. The SaleLinx panel only appears on Depop, Vinted and eBay pages.
2. Pin the extension
After install, Chrome hides new extensions behind the puzzle icon in the toolbar. Pin SaleLinx so you can reach it with one click.
Click the puzzle icon at the top right of Chrome, find SaleLinx in the list, and click the pin icon next to it. The SaleLinx icon will stay visible in your toolbar, so signing in and checking your plan is one click away.
3. Sign in
Click the pinned SaleLinx icon. A small window opens where you can sign in with Continue with Google, or with your email and password and Log in. If you don’t have an account yet, click Sign up to create one right there. If you sign up with an email address, confirm it from the email we send, then come back and log in.
You can also sign in from the panel itself: if you open it on Depop, Vinted or eBay while signed out, it shows the same sign-in options.
Once you are signed in, the window shows which account you are using, with buttons to open Depop, Vinted or eBay, an Account & billing link to your account page on salelinx.com, and Log out.
The website and the extension use the same account, but you sign in to each separately. If you reset your password on the website, use the new password in the extension too.
4. Open the panel
Go to depop.com, your Vinted site or your eBay site. A small SaleLinx button sits in the bottom-left corner of the page. Click it to open the panel. The panel lives on Depop, Vinted and eBay pages only; it does not open from the toolbar icon.
On eBay, the panel appears on ebay.co.uk, ebay.com, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ie, .nl, .at, .com.au and .ca.
If you already had Depop, Vinted or eBay tabs open before installing, reload them once so the button appears.
There’s also a keyboard shortcut: Alt+S opens and closes the panel
while you are on a Depop or Vinted tab. It does nothing on other sites. If
another extension already uses Alt+S, set your own shortcut under
chrome://extensions/shortcuts, or open Settings in the panel and click
Change next to Panel shortcut.
5. Your first run
The first time you open the panel, it walks you through two screens:
- Welcome to SaleLinx. If your account doesn’t have a plan yet, click Start free trial. This opens the pricing page on salelinx.com, where you start your 14-day trial (sign in there with the same account if asked; a card is required, but nothing is charged during the trial). When you’re done, come back to the panel and click Already have a plan? Refresh.
- Link your shops. Under I sell on, pick any of Depop, Vinted and eBay, then click Link next to each account. If a row shows Log in instead, you are not signed in to that marketplace in this browser yet. eBay links through eBay’s own sign-in page instead.
