Connect your first marketplace

SaleLinx works through your marketplace session in the browser. There’s no marketplace password to enter and no API key to copy. You just need to be signed in to Depop or Vinted in the same browser profile where SaleLinx is installed. eBay connects through eBay’s own sign-in instead (see Connecting eBay below).

Each SaleLinx account links one account per marketplace: one Depop, one Vinted and one eBay account. This is the same on every plan.

1. Sign in on the marketplace

Open a regular tab and sign in at depop.com or on your Vinted site. If you sell on both, sign in to both.

SaleLinx supports these Vinted country sites: vinted.com, .co.uk, .ie, .fr, .de, .at, .be, .nl, .es, .pt, .it, .pl, .cz, .sk, .hu, .ro, .lt, .se, .dk and .fi.

Why no login?

When you sign in to Depop or Vinted, the marketplace remembers you in your browser. SaleLinx uses that same session to talk to the marketplace, the way the marketplace’s own pages do. It never asks for, sees or stores your marketplace password.

2. Open the SaleLinx panel

On any Depop, Vinted or eBay page, click the SaleLinx button in the bottom-left corner (on Depop and Vinted you can also press Alt+S). The panel only opens on Depop, Vinted and eBay pages, not from the toolbar icon. If you haven’t signed in to SaleLinx or started a plan yet, see Installing the SaleLinx extension first.

3. Link your shops

Until at least one account is linked, the panel shows the Link your shops screen:

  1. Under I sell on, pick any of Depop, Vinted and eBay.
  2. Each marketplace row shows the account SaleLinx can see in your browser, with its photo and username. Click Link to connect it.
  3. If a row shows Log in instead of Link, you’re not signed in to that marketplace. Click Log in, sign in on the marketplace, then come back to the panel and link.

Once an account is linked, the panel opens on My Listings, which shows your items from every linked marketplace in one list.

Connecting eBay

eBay connects differently from Depop and Vinted: through eBay’s own sign-in page, not your browser session.

  1. On the Link your shops screen, or in Settings > Marketplace accounts, click Link on the eBay row. A small SaleLinx window opens.
  2. Click Continue to eBay, sign in on eBay’s own page and agree to let SaleLinx manage your listings. The window closes by itself and your eBay account shows as linked.

SaleLinx never sees your eBay password. You can remove its access at any time by clicking Unlink in Settings.

Once linked, your eBay listings appear in My Listings and eBay becomes a source and target in Crosslist. eBay never needs a tab open.

If you don’t sell on all of them

You don’t have to use every marketplace. Pick any mix of Depop, Vinted and eBay on the Link your shops screen (or in the Where do you sell? box that appears after your first sign-in). You can change the answer any time in Settings > Marketplaces. Until you choose, SaleLinx assumes all three.

Switching one off is not a display preference. SaleLinx hides that marketplace’s tabs, filters and account row, stops asking you to link it, and skips its background work entirely, so there’s nothing running for a marketplace you don’t sell on.

Crosslist needs at least two marketplaces switched on and linked, and Linking needs both Depop and Vinted. Both stay visible rather than disappearing, and explain what’s missing.

If you open the panel on a marketplace you’ve switched off, it shows a banner rather than blocking you, with a button to turn that marketplace back on (for example Turn on Vinted) and Dismiss.

Where account linking lives

After setup, linking and unlinking is in Settings > Marketplace accounts (called Accounts in versions before 1.1.12). Each marketplace has a row there showing the account it is linked to, with an Unlink button. When SaleLinx can see a marketplace account that isn’t linked yet, the row asks whether to link it, with Link and Not now buttons. See Settings for the rest of that tab.

Don’t confuse it with the Linking tab, which does something different: that one pairs an individual Depop listing with its Vinted counterpart.

Troubleshooting

The account is already linked to a different SaleLinx account. A Depop, Vinted or eBay account can only be linked to one SaleLinx account at a time. Log in to the SaleLinx account it is linked to, unlink it in Settings > Marketplace accounts, then try again here.

The account has already used a free trial on another SaleLinx account. Each marketplace account gets one free trial. To link it to this SaleLinx account, start a paid plan from the pricing page first. If you are in a free trial, that ends the trial and starts billing straight away.

Could not link, no login found. SaleLinx couldn’t find your session on that marketplace. Sign in to the marketplace in a normal tab, then try again.

The panel says the marketplace is signed in as a different account. The account you are signed in to on Depop or Vinted is not the one linked to SaleLinx. Features for that marketplace stay unavailable until you either sign in to the linked account on the marketplace, or unlink it in Settings > Marketplace accounts and link the account you’re using now.

My Listings stays empty. Reload your Depop or Vinted tab, then open the panel again. If the panel says your session has expired, sign in on the marketplace again.

I’m on the wrong Vinted country. SaleLinx follows the Vinted site you use in your browser. If you switch countries (for example from .co.uk to .fr), sign in on the new site first.
