Shop Designer
Shop Designer lets you rearrange the listings on your Depop shop by dragging them into the order you want, then applies that order for you. It’s handy for putting featured pieces first and pushing older stock further down.
It works because Depop shows your shop with the most recently saved listing first. When you apply a layout, SaleLinx re-saves your listings in the right order so each one lands where you put it.
This feature is Depop only.
Opening the designer
Open the Shop Designer tab. It works from any page, as long as a Depop tab is open somewhere in Chrome. Each time you open it, it loads your active listings straight from Depop, in the order your shop shows them now. Large shops can take a few seconds.
Your shop appears twice, side by side:
- Mobile - your shop as it looks on a phone.
- Desktop - your shop as it looks in a browser.
Both show your profile picture, bio and follower, following and sold counts above the grid, so you can judge the layout the way a buyer sees it. A change in one preview shows in both.
Rearranging
- Drag any listing to a new spot.
- Bring to top and Bring to bottom, the two arrow buttons on each listing, send it straight to the first or last spot.
- Listings that are no longer in their original spot are marked, so you can see what has changed.
- Reset puts everything back in your shop’s current order.
The reload button next to the item count fetches your listings from Depop again.
Applying the layout
Click Apply Layout. SaleLinx re-saves the listings that need to move, starting with the lowest and working up, so the last one it saves lands on top. Listings at the bottom of your shop that are already in the right order are left alone.
That makes moving a listing up cheap and moving one down expensive. Bringing one listing to the top re-saves just that listing. Sending one to the bottom means re-saving every listing that should sit above it.
A progress bar shows how far it has got, and Stop ends it early. If you stop partway, the listings re-saved so far sit at the top of your shop and the rest keep their old order below them.
Each listing that moves takes several seconds, because SaleLinx paces the saves like a person working through them, so a big rearrangement can take a while. You can close the panel and carry on browsing; keep the Depop tab open. Other SaleLinx jobs wait until it finishes. When it’s done, the designer reloads your shop from Depop so you can check the result.
Re-saving is the same thing a refresh does, so the listings that moved also get a fresh “last edited” time. Applying a layout doesn’t use your daily refresh allowance.
Your layout lasts until something else saves a listing. A new listing, an edit or a refresh puts that listing at the top of your shop. Refresh All and Auto-Refresh keep your order when they cover your whole shop; when a run is cut short (by its cap, your allowance or the skip setting), the listings it reached move to the top. Apply your layout again after that.
Common tasks
Featuring a new collection. Drag the new pieces to the top (or use Bring to top on each, starting with the one you want last), then click Apply Layout. They’ll be the first thing shoppers see on your profile.
Bringing older pieces back up. Older listings sink as you list new ones. Move the ones you want seen to the top and apply. Because moving up is cheap, this is quick even in a large shop.
Limitations
- Depop only.
- Active listings only - sold items and drafts aren’t shown.
- One flat order - there are no sections or groups.
Plan and access
Shop Designer is included on Starter, Pro and Business, and on the 14-day free trial. Without one of those plans, the tab shows a lock.
Next steps
